Institute of Export - Venture forth with wisdom

Memorandum of understanding with Irish Exporters Association

There has been for many decades a special relationship between the Institute of Export (Northern Ireland) and the Irish Exporters Association (IEA). This special relationship will be expanded under a new agreement with the Irish Exporters Association. This agreement will take the following format.

The Institute of Export (N.I.) is seen as an individual member organisation along the same lines as the Institute of International Trade of Ireland, (IITI), an Education and Training group within the Irish Exporters Association.

The Institute of Export (N.I.) will continue in current form, but with the added benefits of association with the IITI as follows: All Institute of Export (N.I.) members will become honorary members of IITI; IITI publications will be sent to Institute of Export (N.I.) members free of charge; IITI courses will be discounted to Institute of Export (N.I.) members; IITI Books will be discounted to Institute of Export (N.I.) members; Diploma courses currently provided by Institute of Export and IITI will be examined for cross accreditation purposes; and Institute of Export consultants and trainers will be listed on the I.E.A. and IITI database.

This will enable the Institute of Export consultants and trainers to be utilised for delivery of various courses and programmes being rolled out nationally by the IEA and the IITI. Institute of Export chairperson will be invited to be a Council member of the IITI. The IITI will meet formally with the Institute of Export (N.I.) to agree joint research/study actions to be undertaken each year.

The IITI will set up with the Institute of Export (N.I) a joint fund with inputs from sources such as the International Fund for Ireland (IFI) to support this research/study activity.
